Welcome to my blog! I know, an original start, but I'm still working my way through this.

I suppose I should start by outlining what I expect to discuss here. I see this as a chance to express my thoughts on a variety of subjects, which I hope will be of at least some interest to others. I suppose it's possible that this could just end up being a pure venting outlet for my thoughts, but perhaps some discussions involving actual other human beings will ensue.

Anticipated topics:

1) Politics. What a shock, huh? I am a big political junkie--this time of year is constantly fascinating to me. I'm very big into studying the process itself, especially b/c of the imperfections in the process. I also have my political biases, although I try to be open to challenges on that front.
2) Business. I graduated from a top business school, and now have a pretty standard job for a post-MBA with a Fortune 500 company. I don't say this to brag (I'm sure most people aren't envious of my background, nor do I desire them to be), but because it lends itself to certain areas of interest. I need to think about leadership, corporate strategy, operations, etc. for my job, but these are also things that I truly enjoy talking and thinking about, so they may come up here. Now that I am out of school and (slowly) building up my assets again, I'm also interested in investing, so that should come up as well.
3) Sports. I find that as I get older, and my physical capability for sport diminishes, my personal interest in seeing others do well in athletics increases. I'm a big fan of football (pro and college), as well as college basketball, and have passing interest in most other major sports. So, that may come up too.
